Chick and a Stick came into being when friends asked me to document my solo circumnavigation of Lake Superior, planned for 2021, so they could share the adventure as I paddle twelve hundred miles of changing scenery, just me, my 17 foot long kayak and a Greenland paddle, also known as a ‘stick’.
From there ideas starting rattling around in my brain, as often happens when small seeds find fertile ground. Why limit myself to documenting a single adventure when there are so many exciting and unexpected things happening all around us? We just have to see them as potential adventures.
